All of these oil pastel paintings originated in White Head, NS, and feature homes in that village. The yellow Cann Feltmate house is one of the oldest in the village. The grey Ferguson house was badly damaged in a severe gale a few years ago and is now gone. The red house is my grandparents’ house, Billy Tom and Mag Will Feltmate. The wild rose bush blooms beside the house and smells heavenly in both sun and rain.
